Cassie

DOB:  2007

Female

Cassie grew up on the fringe of a housing development in rural Solon. She was lucky enough to be seen at the edge of the woods with a few of her kittens by an cat rescuer experienced enough to search for and capture all six family members.

Check out her kittens Brosia, Chloé, Mosley, Radley, and Sawyer.

Although she has not been around many children, she’s a gentle, nurturing creature and would probably do fine.

Cassie is a very competent and compliant cat and able to entertain herself with or without found objects. She loves to play and excells at laps. Cassie loves being a doted-upon house cat!

Live, Let Live, & LearnIf you happen to find young kittens (or other baby animals) without their mom, please think things through before you act. Bottle babies have very special needs (food, temperature, excretory, etc.) and require expert care. It’s easy to shift into “helping mode.” But momcats do kittencare best!

Unless you are sure mom isn’t coming back, be prepared to quietly observe for awhile. Human intervention is not always what’s best for the animal! To paraphrase Antoine de Sainte-Éxupéryyou become responsible for those you.
