Jean-Pierre

Jean-Pierre (aka Vinnie “da-door-man”) was a wandering but fed, south-east Iowa City neighborhood stray for many years.

His last fight nearly cost him an ear. The bite became infected and he got a hematoma from shaking his head so hard. As the infection progressed, Jean-Pierre’s fever slowed him down enough that his rescuer was finally able to capture him and get him the vet care he needed.

He has more than his share of scratches, scabs, and scars and of course sports the typical secondary-sex characteristics (fat-padded neck and jowls; tom-cat swagger) of most late-neutered males.

Jean-Pierre really does enjoy people and loves being noticed, but he’s also easily overstimulated by attention. Cat-wise people know when to quit. Those who are less aware are likely to get nailed. Jean-Pierre will not be placed in a home where there are small children.

Despite his occasional unreliability, Jean-Pierre is a swell cat who will do fine with a seasoned cat lover.
