Lucy—adopted!

Photo: Lucy the cat.Lucy is enough of a kitten that her purrsonality, like her body, is still under construction.

After he hit her in the parking lot of Menard’s, the driver got out of his car, picked up her unconscious body, laid her on the grassy median, and then drove away. The dental student in the car behind was much more compassionate. He also stopped, picked up her limp body, and drove all over looking for a vet clinic that was still open. He knocked on the door of the Coralville Animal Clinic because there was a car in the lot.

Lucky for Lucy—a veterinarian was still in the building. She regained consciousness in a warm, comfy cat bed, and has shown no ill effects since. This is an active child who loves mountain climbing.
