Quarry (named for where she was rescued) has
seen some hard times. It must have been a real trial for this fancy girl to
rustle up dinner for herself, considering she'd been declawed on all four paws.
Quarry's coat was so matted with burrs and knots (not to mention the fleas, ticks, and maggots) that she had to be shaved.
She submitted to the indignity of being clipped fully conscious and with very little resistance. . . an unusual example of courage and grace under fire, especially for a cat!
This fluffy Persian really needs daily grooming to keep her eyes presentable and to prevent mats from taking over the underside of her body. She has been pretty accepting about face cleaning, but she doesn't (and shouldn't have to) tolerate extended grooming sessions. This cat is a good candidate for professional grooming.
Quarry needs a Persian-wise, patient caregiver who has the time for a few short grooming sessions each day. She does ok with polite dogs and other cats. Although she is companionable, Quarry is not a lap cat. At least not yet!
DOB: 1997--Female--Blue Cream Persian--Declawed on all four paws.
Quarry likes: being told how gorgeous she is; chasing after feathers on a stick; mealtime.
She dislikes: intensive grooming; the words "dust mop" in reference to her; restraint.
