Roxie

DOB:  4/22/07

Female

Roxie is a good dog. She was adopted as a puppy for a little girl, but now that Roxie’s nearly a year old, at 40 pounds, she far outweighs the child. She’s a handful on a leash for an adult unless she’s wearing her Gentle Leader.

Check out Roxie’s sisters Lefty and Whitey and brothers, Bruno, Boomer, Jed, and Magic. Her mom, Maggie was found pregnant and wandering loose (no collar, no tags) in a park in northeastern Iowa.

Roxie graduated from puppy kindergarten (SPOT & Co) with many of her siblings, but like most young dogs, has been known to sometimes jump up to give a kiss and chew stuff left lying around. She knows the hand signal for SIT and responds well.

A home where people are around much of the time will be key for Roxie. She’s crate-trained, but has a hard time being left alone. Roxie is submissive with other dogs, and would love to have a canine playmate to race through the yard with.

Since Roxie is a young, active explorer of all things, she requires careful supervision. She likes children and is very eager to please.

Roxie likesbeing around humans; mealtime; walks; digging in the yard; chewing; playtime; giving kisses

She dislikesbeing left alone; baths; sharing
