Zeus

DOB:  11/00

Male

Zeus is a well-traveled cat. He even has airline experience! He and a sibling were born in New Jersey and lived with a family who had children.

They went to St. Augustine, Florida, where Zeus found a new home with a college student. When she graduated and moved back to Iowa, Zeus came with her.

But her grad school housing situation doesn’t allow cats. So instead of pursuing a PhD, Zeus is looking for a new home.

Somewhere along the way Zeus developed a food allergy and resulting hair loss. After trying different foods, one that allowed his coat to regrow was Hills Prescription Diet DD—duck & green pea. To look at him now, you’d never suspect him to be an allergy cat!

For a cat, Zeus is pretty comfortable with change. He’s a good bed companion, ignores plants, and really likes to play. He’s ok with being groomed, but does a great job of it himself. Zeus likes to explore, and he is more of a cave dweller than a mountain climber. He’s a bit shy with strangers at first, but quickly accepts them.

Zeus is competent enough to be an only cat, but (depending upon the cat) he might be able to live with another feline buddy. Dogs might be a stretch, but we could try.

Zeus likescat nip; toys; mealtime; toys; windows; toys; a good lap; plastic milk rings; companionable other cats

He dislikes:baths, unless it’s his idea; restraint; Mr Vacuum Cleaner; being ignored; rude dogs
