1-31—Kiosk
Display Celebrating The Year of the Humane Child-----at
the Iowa City Public Library: The JCHS installed a colorful
kiosk display at the Iowa City Public Library, which ran
for the month of August. The premise is that humane children
will grow up to be humane adults. We hope our display challenged
people to think about ways they can help break this cycle
of violence.
While animal
cruelty is an incredible distortion of the human/animal
relationship, people who do bad things to animals probably
had bad things done to them by other people. But the really
scary thing is that people who do bad things to animals
probably will do bad things to other people.
We hope our display
challenged people to think about ways they can help break
this cycle of violence. |

21 (Sat)—JCHS
Good Stuff Sale-----10am to 5pm in
the space formerly occupied by Page Jewelers in the Old
Capitol Mall (ground floor), Iowa City: There was quite
a bit of good stuff!. It was fun to see our old friends

fair amount of fun watching people buy and making some new
